In the name of god amen I Sameul Kinkart of Nicholas County
and State of Kentucky being in a low state of health and sick in body yet in
perfect mind and memory thanks be to God for all his mercies to me – but
calling to mind the mortality of any body and knowing that it is appointed for
all men once to die; I do make and ordain this to be my last will and Testament
that is to say first of all I do recommend my soul to God who give it and my
body to the Earth from whence it came and to be buried in a decent manner in
hopes it shall be restored at the resurrection; and as touching such worldy
effects as it hath pleased God to bless me with in this life; I do give and
bequeath as follows to wit; First of all my lawful debts to be fully discharged
Second – to my wife Isabel Kincart I give and Bequeath to her, her own bed and
the furnature of the same also I give to her the fisher mare with her saddle
& bridle also the large red cow and the white cow with their sucking calves
and the dresser furniture to her and to be at her Disposal and all the pott metal
to be divided as equal as possible between my said wife and my two Daughters
Susanah & Isabela & I give to me said wife one pot mech[?] and her
spinning wheel also three chairs also I give unto her five sheep also I give
unto her the East end of my Brick house her lifetime and for the use of my two
Daughters Susanah & Isabela while they Continuence with her there mother
also I give unto her my said wife the thirds of the improved land during her
lifetime 3dly I give and bequeath unto my son Thomas Kinkart James
Kinkart five dollars 4thly I give and bequeath unto my daughter Mary Archer
five dollars 5thly I give and bequeath unto my son

Samuel Kincart five dollars sixthly I give and bequeath to
my son John Kinkart all the lands I now hold (by Bond Deed or title) Except what
my son James Kinkart now lives on which [word?] to him the said James also I
give to my said son John the water mill and horse mill & my two stills
& the two masking kettles and also my wagon and horse gears and my plow and
all my other farming utencials with my cutting box & also my fan also I
give unto him the said John all tubs with all the Kegss & Barrels also my
Cupboard and Clock – Seventhly I give and bequeath to my Daughter Susanah my
flimnass[?] Mare saddle & Bridle and five head of sheep one Bed and
furnature for the same also I do allow her the said Susanah three hundred
Dollars one hundred Dollars to be paid four years after my Deceased and the
other two hundred Dollars, to be paid in four years after that is to say fifty
Dollars Per Year Eighthly I give and bequeath to my Daughter Isabela Kincart
the old sorel mare a saddle & bridle five head of sheep one Bed with the furnature
for the same also Three hundred Dollars one hundred to be paid four years after
my decease the other two hundred to Be paid in four years more that is fifty
Dollars Per Year & I give unto my wife Isabela all the geese and to be at
her Disposal I also give and bequeath unto my said son John all the Remainder
of my Horses Cows Sheep that is not mentioned Before with all my hogs also all
my Bonds Notes and Book accounts that is due me also the Desk that is fin[?]
the hand of Daughter by the Table & Remainder of my Chairs & one Bed
with its furniture all I have give with this my last will my son John I do give

And Bequeath to him and his Heirs forever and I make and
ordain him my said son John Sole Executor of this my Last will and Testament
for the intents & purposes in this my will contained and to take care to
see the same performed according to my true intent & meaning in witnesses,
where of I the said Samuel Kinkart have to this my last will and testament set
my hand and seal this twenty seventh day of September in the year of our Lord
One Thousand Eight hundred & thirteen signed sealed and delivered by the
said Samuel Kinkart for his last will and Testament in the presence of us who
were present at signing & sealing thereof-

Nicholas County Set November County Court An Instrument of
writing purporting to be the last will and Testament of Samuel Kincart Deceased
was produced in open court and proven by the oaths of Thomas Nesbitt David
Byers & Moses Hall and ordered to be recorded and an motion of John Kincart
the Sole Executor therein named who made oath there to & Together with
Robert Berry & Samuel Kinkart his securities entered into Bond in the
penalty of $1000 conditioned according to Law which is to be Ordered to be
Recorded- and there upon Certificate is Granted him for obtaining Aprobate
thereof in due form-
